Abstract. The present research focuses on digital content for academic purposes and involving students into its creation. Its aim is to make a brief overview of the issue under discussion, the existing practices and educational experiences, organise pilot students’ projects on creating digital content. The prior enabling objectives are to justify the necessity to engage students in making digital learning objects, determine the teachers’ role, analyse the outcome of the practical exercise, propose the perspectives for further students’ digital work. The humanistic approach has changed the educational paradigm putting students at the centre of the pedagogical process. This transformation assumes to promote their competences and personal development while fulfilling independent cognitive activities. Empowering students as learning materials creators, teachers cooperate with them to reach the educational goals. Such collaboration can assist to build a good rapport, mutual aid, and trust climate. The digital revolution has led to the crucial changes in teaching and learning, and the modern information communication technology has introduced the multiple possibilities to make the various digital learning content. It is obvious that the digital format is very attractive to the young generation, thus, they can have an interest in this type of work. In their projects, students were expected to compile their e-quizzes on the different topics on Google Docs following the seven stages: choosing a topic, compiling an offline version, making a quiz in the digital format, distributing the weblinks among the respondents, analysing the responses, preparing a report based on the collected data, presenting a report. The pilot classroom project has proved students’ readiness to do such a kind of job that can raise their motivation to study, promote their vital skills and competences. At the prospect, engaging students into digital content creation should become everyday practice.
