The article comprehensively analyzes the construction “V-V” in Russian within the framework of the theory of Construction Grammar, and clearly demonstrates that the construction “V-V” has characteristics that differ from other constructions in structure and meaning. In terms of structure, it has a high degree of frame and partial productivity; from the point of view of semantics, its meaning is expressed as an objective descriptive meaning, which is its main meaning, and a subjective modal meaning, which is its variant meaning. Limited by general semantics, the “V-V” construction has an overwhelming effect on the completion of the “V” word. This article analyzes the overwhelming impact of the “V-V” construction in terms of semantics, aspect and tense of the verb.
