MODELING OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN THE CONDITIONS OF DISTANCE LEARNING: INTERDISCIPLINARY AS A TOOL FOR FORMING PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF A LINGUIST

Abstract. Development of interdisciplinary and professional competencies takes a special place in the integrative-contextual educational model, and settlement of this live issue implies improvement of didactic mechanisms and organization tools as well as implementation of educational programs in universities.

The case records of those techniques and technologies strengthening interdisciplinary linkages in educational process shall validate their effectiveness and provide the basis to consider them to be crucial component of the methodological system in distance learning environment.

The article describes main trends how the distance learning is organized in universities during pandemic, analyzes the basic communication systems and Internet tools supporting integrated educational process.

The subject of the research is the organizational methods of distance learning programs and their case records.
The objective of the research is to show the basic principles of educational process modeling in distance learning environment by interdisciplinarity as development tool of professional linguist’s competencies; to formulate the main provisions of the Distance practical classes methodology (DPC) in distance learning environment.

The research methodology comprises comparison method and comparative analysis, the DPC methodology is developed based on comparison of three communication platforms and analysis of their functionalities; the systematic method considers development of integrative-contextual educational model and buildup of interdisciplinary competencies as unified educational system that requires coordination of academic activities and correct time sharing. It also describes the conceptual framework of digital didactics as the basis for digitalization of education, focused on reorganization of educational process, improvement of traditional teaching methods and didactic mechanisms. The definitions and case records of the integrative-contextual, competence-based and interdisciplinary approaches in the context of educational model of the RSUH-2020 are listed and considered, as well as the basic principles of modeling of educational environment in distance and online learning through interdisciplinary integration.

Introducing the mixed learning technique, organization of the educational process has been significantly changed: the key principles of the entire education administration have been revised throughout the country, including Universities. In the current environment of distance learning in 2020 academic year, the methodological and didactic support of educational process has been revised and transformed both in form and in content of educational materials.

In pandemic situation, administrative and teaching staff was forced to find the best way to communicate with students, which could partially replace in-person classes and provide not only audio broadcasting, but also visualization of educational presentations during lectures and doing of practice exercises by students online during seminars and laboratory work.

The article demonstrates interrelation and interdependence of Internet apps functionalities and educational need, as well as examples of some software being part of educational environment of RSUH (RGGU) in 2020.

Along with the main results of the university’s organizational and research work on the problems of distance learning, it should be mentioned implementation of mixed educational programs used distance learning technologies and electronic information and educational environment resources of RSUH. Participation of the author of this publication resulted in work out of distance practical courses methodology to develop interdisciplinary and professional competencies of students of the Institute of Linguistics and the Institute of Philology and History of the Russian State University for the Humanities.
